Cannabinoids are chemical compounds found in cannabis which may have psychoactive effects. Profile and potency testing of cannabis products is helpful for consumers to determine effective cannabinoid dosages.

Potency analysis is performed on all cannabis and related products, and reporting of THC, CBD, THCA, and CBDA is required by the state of Massachusetts. Cannabinoid analysis is performed with High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) using UV detection. All results are quantitated against calibration curves prepared from certified reference standards.
