Laboratory Technician

Position Summary
Summary
The Laboratory Technician position is responsible for assisting in analytical technologies and techniques related to the safety and potency testing of cannabis. The technician will be involved with the routine processing of samples in accordance with the laboratory policies and procedures.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist in analytical testing by following established procedures while meeting required turn-around-time goals.
- Maintain accurate laboratory records and notebooks.
- Use good laboratory practices.
- Assist in the development of new applications and analytical procedures.
- Document sample preparation and observations in precise detail.
- Follow SOPs for laboratory methods and procedures.
- Demonstrate responsibility for care, maintenance, and calibration of equipment to ensure efficient operations.
- Maintain proper storage, handling, and usage of hazardous materials.
- Maintain ISO 17025 compliance and follow quality assurance programs.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
Required:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
Preferred:
- Laboratory experience with basic instrumentation and analytical techniques.
- Experience in the use of MS office applications.
- Data entry experience.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Associate degree in chemistry, biology, life sciences, or equivalent work experience.
